Job Position: Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager - Outpatient Cardiology/Stress Lab
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Department: Outpatient Cardiology
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week

Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department

Certification

  • Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience required within Ambulatory care or cardiac-related setting

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct nurse-led clinic visits, including wound checks and patient education
  • Triage patient phone calls and provide timely follow-up and guidance
  • Assist with procedure preparation and post-procedure follow-up
  • Support cardiac device technologists with patient assessments and coordination
  • Manage the Coumadin clinic and anticoagulation monitoring protocols
  • Deliver customized patient and caregiver education using various formats
  • Coordinate and document individualized care plans using evidence-based practices
  • Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the healthcare team
  • Prioritize care while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment
  • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Exhibit respect for patients’ rights, confidentiality, and legal requirements
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and nursing practice committees
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
  • Actively support staff mentoring, coaching, and peer review processes
  • Utilize resources efficiently and promote a culture of accountability and excellence
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
